Supported By
National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)
Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society(CMES)
The second in the biennial series of International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics 2007 (ICMEM 2007) will be reached. The conference is becoming an important international academic event. Last time the conference (ICMEM 2005), held at Nanjing, China, was a great success. We received more than 1100 abstracts and 348 papers were formally presented at the meeting. 49 papers came from overseas including the United States, Germany, Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, Turkey, Bangladesh, Australia, France, Luxembourg, Denmark, Singapore, Norway, Korea and Hong Kong. All papers in the proceedings were embodied by ISTP-Index to Scientific & Technical Proceedings.
ICMEM 2007 will bring scientists, researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in multi-disciplinary areas in mechanical engineering together to explore advanced theories and state-of-art technologies. The aim of the conference is to provide a forum for presenting, sharing and exchanging knowledge, ideas, methodologies, innovations and experiences in all areas embraced by mechanical engineering. The conference will offer a unique opportunity to enhance international cooperation and establish contacts with participants from a number of countries.
Nine simultaneous tracks will be held, covering different aspects of Engineering Design, Mechatronics and Robotics, Applied Mechanics, Advanced Manufacturing Technology, MEMS, Vehicle Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Design Art and Mechanical Engineering Education. Papers describing advanced prototypes, systems, tools and techniques and general survey papers indicating future directions are also encouraged. Papers describing original work are invited in any of the areas listed below. Both full research reports and work-in-progress reports are welcome.
ICMEM2007 is organized by Nanjing University of Science and Technology (China), Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (U.S.A), Technische Universitaet Chemnitz (Germany), Kyushu University (Japan) and City University of Hong Kong.
The conference is sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES).
ICMEM2007 will be held during November 5-7, 2007 at Taihu lake scenic resort in Wuxi, two hours drive away from Shanghai, one of the best beautiful cites of China.
