会议背景介绍：   The first conference on Shock & Impact Loads on Structures was held in January 1996 in Singapore. This conference was supported by the JSCE Impact Problem Research Committee, Japan and registered 130 participants from 15 countries. Many important and interesting papers including four keynote addresses from Mr B Grosman, Israel; Prof N Ishikawa, Japan; Prof T Krauthammer, USA and Dr G M Zintilis, U.K. were presented. The Chief Defence Scientist of Singapore, Prof Lui Pao-Chuen was the Guest-of-Honour of the conference.
  The second conference held in Melbourne, Australia, in November 1997 was supported by the DSTO (Ship Structures and Materials Division), Australia; JSCE Impact Problem Research Committee, Japan; Monash University (Department of Civil Engineering), Australia and the Hokkaido Development Bureau, Japan. Of the 130 submissions received, 80 papers including four keynote addresses from Prof N Ishikawa, Japan; Prof T Krauthammer, USA; Prof Smilowitz, USA and Dr G M Zintilis, U.K. were included in the conference proceedings. 120 participants from more than 25 countries attended the conference to interact and to exchange discussions.
  The third conference held from 24 – 26 November 1999 in Singapore received the support of the NTU Protective Technology Research Centre, Singapore, and the JSCE Impact Problems Research Committee, Japan. About 150 participants from more than 23 countries gathered to exchange their experience. Prof Lui Pao-Chuen was the Guest-of-Honour of the conference.
  The fourth conference held in November 2001 had the support of Prof. Lui Pao-Chuen, Chief Defence Scientist. The conference committee is honoured by the continuous support of Prof Lui who provided his vision in the FOREWORD of all the conference proceedings. The Central South University and Xiangtan Polytechnic University supported this conference. And for the fourth time, with the support of the Impact Committee of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers. More than 50 Papers from some 25 countries were presented and discussed.
  The fifth conference held in November 2003 was organised in Changsha, Hunan, China with the support from the Central South University, China and the Hunan University of Science and Technology, China, and was sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation and the Chinese Society for Vibration Engineering, China.
  The Sixth conference in December 2005 was organised in Perth, Australia with the support of School of Civil and Resource Engineering, the University of Western Australia, Structural Discipline Group, the University of Western Australia and DSTO - "Defence Science and Technology Organisation" - Australian Department of Defence.

征文范围及要求：   Submission of ABSTRACTS of about 200 – 300 words are now invited from AUTHORS for the 7th International Conference on Shock & Impact Loads on Structures on the following themes:

3.Numerical Simulation and Modelling
4.Dynamic Soil-Structure Interaction
5.Missile/Object Impact
6.Shock and Wave Propagation
7.Dynamic Behaviour of Structural Elements & Design
8.Explosion Caused by HE, Gas and Dust
9.Blast Loading on Structures and protective technology
10.Penetration Mechanics
11.Experimental Techniques (Material behaviour at High Strain Rate)
12.Traffic barrier impacts and the crashworthiness of land/sea/air transportation vehicles
13.Special Sessions on Specific Topics

  The themes are not exhaustive, and submissions which fall within the conference title may be accepted and included for presentation.

Note: All papers will be subject to peer review, except for keynote and invited papers, they will also automatically be considered for Conference Highly Commendable Awards which will be presented at the Closing of the Conference.
