compression facto:When updating the drive signal, the control algorithm will consider not only the amplitude of the reference spectrum and the transfer function, but also a factor known as the compression speed. The compression speed represents the rate at which errors in the control signal can be corrected by the system. A compression factor of 1 represents an immediate correction of the control loop's transfer function and is thus equivalent to the equation above.
Increasing the compression factor results in smoother changes in the transfer function and makes the control process slower but more stable.
